Life Science People are working with a legacy client to help them to find the final piece to their business development team.

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Midlands or North England. Remote but able to work in office in Manchester. Must be able & willing to travel extensively.

Role Overview:

As our client's Business Development Manager, you'll be tasked with promoting their products within your assigned territory. Your main goal is to increase revenue from both new and existing accounts, ultimately making a positive impact on healthcare teams and patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation & Opportunity Development:

  • Identify sales opportunities within NHS and private healthcare markets, generating leads independently.
  • Expand existing account base swiftly to drive new revenue.
  • Conduct presentations to C-Suite executives, understanding their needs and proposing tailored solutions.
  • Build a robust sales pipeline through personalised prospect engagement and research.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for smooth client onboarding and feedback integration.

Building Long-term Relationships:

  • Establish and nurture sustainable relationships with clients for future revenue growth.
  • Cultivate strong connections with senior executives in prospective accounts.
  • Develop strategies to boost revenue for specific product lines across territories.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Customer Success team to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify resource requirements for each sales stage and optimize the company's position in tender processes.
  • Proactively contribute to bid submissions by providing valuable insights.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Meet annual and quarterly quotas, achieving Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) targets.
  • Generate and manage sales pipeline to ensure quota coverage.
  • Measure client growth via revenue rates and percentage growth.
  • Align with clients on joint business plans.

Person Specification:

We're seeking candidates who can quickly adapt to our client's fast-paced environment and contribute effectively to our client's commercial objectives. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, resilient, and deeply committed to understanding and addressing the needs of our healthcare customers and patients.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive SaaS sales experience, particularly in Enterprise SaaS with complex cycles.
  • Proven ability to surpass sales quotas and engage with healthcare customers at the C-suite level.
  • Experience with patient portals or clinical applications will be very favourable
  • Proficiency in generating personal opportunities and maintaining quarterly pipelines.
  • Familiarity with customer-centric selling methodologies and CRM systems like Salesforce.
  • Mission-driven with a dedication to improving healthcare outcomes.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset and a focus on problem-solving.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement while maintaining work-life balance.
