Shipping Broker

Ship Broker - Are you experienced in Shipping or Maritime Operations? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Ship Broker on a full-time, permanent basis in our office in Southampton, Hampshire.

Competitive Salary: depending on experience - salary package will include car and fuel allowance, plus overtime.

You will be responsible for supporting and facilitating the chartering of ships on behalf of clients. You will negotiate contracts, research current market trends, and build relationships with clients and shipping companies. Working closely with the Chartering Manager, you will support with chartering operations for clients, as well as administrative tasks and coordinating logistics for ship transactions. This will include vessel inspections and surveys.
Assist the management team to negotiate contract terms as well as ensuring legal and regulatory compliance throughout transactions.
* Research and collect market data on freight rates, vessel availability, and competitor activity.
* Analyse market trends to identify opportunities, any risks for clients and offer recommendations for decision-making.
* Establish client relationships with ship owners, operators, and charterers, providing customised shipping solutions.
* This role is based in our office in Southampton, Hampshire. You will be working Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm.
