The Role - Quality Assurance Manager Reporting to the Quality Manager and Company Directors, as the National Quality Auditor you will be a highly organised and proactive individual. You will perform a range of quality audits required by the business including audits on engineers, subcontractors and franchisees. You will be based at our Head Office in Mold, North Wales and our standard working hours are 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-3pm on Friday. Some flexibility will be required to support the needs of the business. Initially, the role will be covering all branches in the North West, Leeds, Sheffield, Cambridge and the South. As the network develops, the role may become more regionalised.
  • Performing on-site technical engineer audits at customer locations for the maintenance and installation of Fire & Security Systems. Fire & Intruder Alarms, Fire Extinguishers, Emergency Lighting, Access Control and CCTV systems.
  • Auditing in accordance with ISO 9001
  • Performing audits of subcontractors for outsourced projects.
  • Sample checking completed engineer reports to ensure that they are fully completed and in detail.
  • Branch compliance visits to ensure they are all operating and complying with the operations manual, franchise agreement, and as per the industry accreditations held by the business.
  • Brand compliance inspections to ensure the correct branding is being used.
  • Completion of the annual internal audit program.
  • Detailed documentation of any branch visits and audits completed.
  • Follow up on any corrective actions to ensure that they have been fully completed.
  • Feedback during management meetings of visits/audits conducted.
Our Requirements
  • Ideally a minimum of 5 years' experience within the fire and security industry in a senior engineer, management or auditing role.
  • Previous auditing experience is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Well-presented and professional with a positive, 'can-do' attitude and customer focused approach
  • A pragmatic and logical thinker who's well organised and pays excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage own workload with minimal supervision
