A rare opportunity has arisen for a counsellor for students to join Runshaw’s counselling team, as part of the wider Safeguarding and Wellbeing team. The student counselling service offered at Runshaw College is accredited by the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (B.A.C.P) and reflects the fact that safeguarding, and wellbeing is an integral part of the College's outstanding support for both 16-19 and adult students.

Positions available are:

  • Permanent Student Counsellor post - 13 hours to be split as 2 x 6.5hr working days, specifically on a Monday and Wednesday. This would be a 09:00 -15:30, with 30-minute lunch and 30-minute administration, term time (37 weeks).

The successful applicant(s) will hold full counselling qualifications and be a member of BACP or equivalent organisation. They will have extensive experience of working with young people in an education setting and have a wide range of skills to support the counselling needs of our presenting students in face to face, online and telephone consultations. They will be team players, highly organised, driven, and have meticulous record keeping.
