Job Description

Aquilo recruitment are working in partnership with a market leading construction business - hybrid working, progression opportunities and a great culture. This role is an exciting opportunity with a market leading business in the modular field who are going through a hug growth period with some exciting projects .

Objectives

As Commercial Manager you will lead the commercial aspects of the DIO projects that manifest from the CCS framework from beginning to end. You will oversee the administering of the contracts. You will support and mentor the QS’s that are working on the DIO projects, and you will be a key member of the framework team.

Responsibilities

  • to our Every Step Safely Health, Safety and Wellbeing inductions, policies, and procedures.
  • the administering the DIO contracts, support / lead in pre-defined areas.
  • the framework team in managing against the framework principles, ensure the business is compliant on commercial aspects.
  • will be a key relationship manager to the CCS Framework team and the DIO client team. Working closely with the client solutions team to build and maintain the relationships and reputation of the business.
  • on contract negotiations
  • the lead on KPI obtaining and reporting.
  • and mentor the project teams to deliver strong risk and commercial management of supply chain and the client.
  • and effectively Managing Risk on the projects.
  • on the effective resolution of contractual and commercial disputes

the delivery of timely and accurate Cashflow, Cost to Complete, Risk and CVR reporting.

  • monthly project reviews.
  • closely with the Head of commercial to embed and expand standard procedures and standards.
  • on project lessons learnt from a commercial perspective.
  • and support the project gateway adjudications.
  • closely with all areas of the business, as required to ensure the project / sector success.
  • as required on DIO tender opportunities.
  • on other DIO / business opportunities from a commercial, lessons learnt, risk, continuous improvement perspective.
  • in educating the business and its supply chain on the DIO specifics. Ensuring that this education mitigates potential foreseen risks.
  • the product, the specifications, and the detail of the DIO nuances.

Qualifications (Desirable)

  • years in a similar role or demonstration of achievement of Key Duties and responsibilities
  • desirable
  • or equivalent in Quantity surveying or similar

Experience (Essential)

  • in modern methods of construction (MMC)
  • in working with the DIO.
  • in working with the CCS framework.
  • in working as a commercial manager / director.
  • in taking the lead on main contract administration.
