Job DescriptionAs an In-House Solicitor you’ll provide first line legal advice, support and training to all internal businesses and functions, offering a practical and informed interpretation of the laws affecting the Company in response to routine and non-routine matters, thus enabling all operations to ensure that business goals are achieved with due consideration for legislation and minimising the Company’s risk exposure.
As part of your role you’ll assist in the review and negotiation of contracts, the settlement of disputes, the management of the companies' properties and the completion of acquisitions.
QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you’ll need working knowledge of commercial law either in-house or within private practice as an experienced Solicitor or Paralegal within the commercial law sector.
You’ll also need to demonstrate the following;
- Professional legal qualifications attained or in progress
- Experience of negotiating commercial contracts
- Ability to work under own initiative and with a degree of autonomy
- Ability to assert influence and expertise when appropriate
- Willingness to learn and adapt to change – committed to continuous personal and professional development
- Effective interpersonal skills
The ideal candidate will have experience of drafting/negotiating commercial contracts, managing litigation and commercial property and have an understanding of IPRs and data protection.
