**This role will require three days at our clients office in South Birmingham three days a week.

We are thrilled to be partnering with a UK leading manufacturer of high end products as they look to appoint a Head of Marketing to join their team on an 18 month to two year contract basis. Rich in heritage with a reputation of outstanding quality, and a lovely brand, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experience B2B strategic marketer to come in and make a significant difference.

Reporting to the Marketing Director, you will be responsible for leading marketing activities and teams across UK and international territories. The role will lead all campaigns and strategy, driving marketing activations and focused on architecture and design / specifiers channel and leading all comms activity for the commercial channels as well as playing a pivotal role in supporting the sales teams, managing as significant annual budget and marketing team.

The role will be a mix of strategic and tactical activity, the team is fairly lean, so it is important that you are comfortable being hands on. Also, working closely with the sales teams and strong relationship building skills will be pivotal to this role. Success in the role will come from working with the sales and service teams and getting their buy in and support. You will be reporting up and presenting back to the SLT so credibility and gravitas will be important.

There will be some travel to Europe required, on average perhaps once a month although initially this will be a little more as you connect and build relations with stakeholders.

Ideally the role requires a best-in-class senior marketer who has a solid track record of success in A&D / Specification channels but if not B2B experience will be essential.

To be considered for the role you will require the following skills and experience:

  • Strong track record in building out and leading the delivery of best in class B2B marketing strategies.
  • Experience marketing via the architecture and design channel or Building Products industry experience would be advantageous albeit not essential.
  • Managed significant budgets throughout their career and comfortable leading teams.
  • European wide marketing experience would be advantageous.
  • Well versed in working closely with multi-location sales teams.
  • Gravitas and strong leadership skills, comfortable presenting to the SLT.
