As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for procurement activities within the commodity sector while ensuring compliance with LEAN methodologies. Key Responsibilities of Commodity Manager: Buying & Purchasing Manage all aspects of purchasing processes such as supplier selection, negotiation of contracts, and delivery schedules. Ensure that buying decisions adhere to ethical standards set by CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply). Commodity Management Develop strategies aimed at achieving cost optimization goals through effective management of commodities. Conduct market research on new products/suppliers/vendors available to improve product quality or reduce costs.
