Candidates with outstanding nursing expertise in a care home is essential. The company is expanding across the UK and to support our teams, led by the Registered Managers, we have an opportunity for another Registered Manager to join the senior team in Scotland. Each Registered Manager will have around three Homes to lead, guide and support, which is a good number, enabling the Regional Manager to form a deep understanding of the Homes and residents and staff within them. The role is one of leadership and in ensuring that performance standards are maintained and built on, with continual improvement, across their Region. The Regional Manager will assist the Registered Managers implement initiatives and imbed good practices throughout the staff team. It is an interesting role where your efforts, ideas and contribution will quickly take effect and build on the good reputations of the Homes in your area. The Regional Manager will have the nature of people skills that would be expected for this role, demonstrating excellence in areas such communication, presentation, data management and team motivation and leadership. People skills are clearly necessary in the role as will be the experience of having worked at this or a similar level before with a proven record of effectiveness and positive outcomes. The Regional Manager will work with the home managers to continue the delivery of excellent care and clinical services to our residents. We focus on ensuring that our residents receive the very highest standards in personal support, are attended to as valued individuals and who are given activities and opportunities to enjoy their stay in their home. The Regional Manager will ensure compliance in the Region with statutory, regulatory and best practice; and will focus on the continual improvement of working practices, processes and ultimately the experiences of our residents. Skills and Experience Ideally, the successful candidate will have significant clinical nursing experience, obtained in a nursing home context. However, applicants who have carried out similar roles to good effect in the past, will also be considered, as will experienced residential care home managers who are seeking promotion. Area of focus will include: Safeguarding compliance Leadership and motivation Quality control Building and developing professional relationships with stakeholders, regulatory and local authorities bodies Management and control of budgets and costs Working with the Sales and Marketing team and families to increase occupancy in the Homes The Regional Manager will hold a full valid UK driving licence, as the role will be front facing, with the Regional Manager frequently visiting the homes in their area.
