Job Title: French Speaking International Business Development Manager
Department: International Sales
Reporting to: Head of International
Please note this requires the ability to speak fluent French and will require international travel.
Purpose of Job:
To maximise profitable sales by achieving sales targets and increasing awareness of the company's product range in international markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a weekly diary of appointments and activities within the Salesforce CRM system.
- Identify and develop a new distribution and sales network in the regions designated by the Head of International.
- Travel regularly to targeted regions to introduce the brand in person and build new relationships.
- Generate international specifications for products on international projects with UK consultants and lighting designers, raising the brand's international profile.
- Contribute to the growth of the international distribution network, including sourcing and introducing new distributors and customers.
- Identify and exploit new sales opportunities with existing and potential customers.
- Work closely with the Head of International to deliver the international budget and strategy.
- Visit specifiers regularly to ensure they are updated on new products and understand the product range and capabilities; visit sites as appropriate and follow projects from placement to order completion.
- Monitor customer accounts within the allocated sales area to ensure full exploitation of sales potential.
- Provide after-sales service, addressing any issues promptly and maintaining contact with specifiers and customer support.
- Stay informed about company products and relevant sales techniques to perform the sales role effectively.
- Submit monthly reports on area activity, performance, and market intelligence to the Head of International.
- Assist with translations when necessary within your skill set.
- Ensure the customer database for your area is accurate and regularly reviewed.
- Liaise with your manager regarding pricing issues or conditions of sale.
- Maintain the Opportunity Register in the CRM system, ensuring all projects are entered and updated weekly; review with your manager as directed.
- Submit business and fuel receipts monthly through Concur, an online expense portal, for approval.
- Follow the company's car policy.
- Understand and comply with the company's Quality Manual and Health & Safety Procedures.
- Undertake additional tasks and duties as required.
This role requires strong communication skills, a proactive approach to sales, and the ability to travel regularly.
