The National Account Executive will be responsible for managing and growing sales across new and existing accounts. This role involves building and maintaining strong customer relationships, providing the opportunity to establish a credible and long-term career within the business.
Responsibilities to include:
- Building and managing strong relationships with customer contacts across all functions, including Sales, Supply Chain, Technical, Product Development, and Merchandising.
- Collaborating with the internal Procurement team on new and existing business, continuously assessing the market for buying opportunities for your customers.
- Project managing new product development (NPD) as well as any current product changes.
- Proactively managing customer stock levels in conjunction with the internal Supply Chain team.
- Working with the Category Insight Manager and Marketing Manager on best-in-class customer presentations, utilizing IRI and internal data.
- Managing and reporting sales and contract balances.
Qualifications:
- A 2.1 or above in a relevant business degree.
Experience:
- Ideally, 1+ years of sales experience within the commercial retail sector (or relevant internship for graduates).
- Strong preference for a food industry background, although other FMCG products will be considered.
- Previous exposure to working with/managing UK retailers.
Competencies:
- Proven ability to win new business.
- Hands-on account management with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence and negotiate confidently.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong presentation skills.
