Are you currently at a promotor, developer or a consultancy looking to move to a client who is at the forefront of development land in the Eastern Counties?
We are looking for an ambitious planner to become a planning manager for a Cambridgeshire-based developer who is going through a period of rapid growth within the market and you will become a key driver as their business develops. You will report directly to the land director and board with a high level of visibility but working closely with the land team helping with outlined and detailed consents.
You will be dynamic, ambitious, and hungry to succeed. The business is very fast-paced and you will be given a lot of autonomy to manage your own work. This is not a 9-5 job and you will have to want to have an exciting career.
You will either be working for a strategic promotor, planning consultancy or another property developer/ house builder. You will be degree-qualified and MRTPI qualified. You must have extensive experience dealing with planning applications and appeals in the residential property market.
Salary on offer is £70-85k complemented by a comprehensive package. Additionally, you will benefit from a flexible hybrid working arrangement.
Responsibilities:
As a Planning Manager, you will have a central role in supervising and orchestrating planning and development initiatives throughout Cambridgeshire and the surrounding Northern and Eastern Home Counties. Your duties encompass:
- Guiding a team of committed planners and fostering their development.
- Engaging with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure projects align with strategic development objectives.
- Formulating and presenting planning applications, with ongoing communication with regulatory bodies.
- Assessing and proposing resolutions for intricate planning and zoning issues.
- Sustaining a commitment to ongoing research, keeping up to date with local, regional, and national planning regulations and industry best practices.
- Working closely with the land team helping them to identify sites
Key Requirements
- Degree qualified and also MRTPI
- Currently working for a planning consultancy or residential developer/ house developer experience in strategic land
- Detailed experience in dealing with residential planning applications and appeals.
- Bright, ambitious and determined to succeed.
