As a digital business, online acquisition is at the heart of revenue generation and where customer interactions begin. A continual flow of high quality leads is essential for the wider business to maintain it's efficiency. For this reason, you'll need to be fluent in all things digital, with evidenced experience managing multi-million pound online media spend and expertise in acquisition, lead generation, conversion optimisation and commercial performance.


You'll work with the executive board to develop and approve the strategic plan to achieve growth targets and ensure the people, processes and systems are in place to deliver. Taking ownership for the budget you'll create and drive business plans and be accountable for delivering to this.


This role is not for the faint-hearted. On appointment, you will be offered equity with a significant potential value and a place on the board at an entrepreneurial, private-equity backed business with big targets. For this reason, the selection process will be thorough including multiple interviews, assessments and discussions to ensure the appointed candidate is fully equipped to operate at CCO level. Your application should demonstrate both your expertise in digital and your experience working at board level, owning commercial deliverables.


About You:

  • Experience in businesses with £multi-million digital lead generation campaigns.
  • Proven operating at board level and working within an executive committee.
  • Commercially flawless with a thorough understanding of business operations in high-volume lead generation initiated businesses.
  • A confident and strong whilst emotionally intelligent people manager.


What You'll Be Doing:

  • Leading and owning commercial performance for the business.
  • Driving continual improvements in quantity and quality of leads driven through digital and other performance focused channels.
  • Overseeing the conversion funnel from lead through to sale across multiple online and offline touchpoints.
  • Managing direct and indirect teams to constantly grow revenue and improve efficiencies.
  • Consulting and advising board on all business discussions.


Where You'll Be Based:

This CCO role is based in South Yorkshire so you'll need to be within a reasonable commute to attend the office at least 3 days per week.
