Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enforce project-specific Product Assurance Plans, ensuring consistent compliance across the supply chain.
  • Oversee quality assurance for parts, materials, and processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  • Participate in and contribute to design reviews and customer/supplier evaluations.
  • Manage and support processes related to non-conformances, critical items, and change control.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of processes, drawings, procedures, test data, and inspection records to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Execute quality assurance tasks during Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration, and Test (MAIT) phases, both in-house and at vendor facilities.
  • Drive Quality Management System activities, including internal audits, lessons learned, continuous improvement, and process/quality metric analysis.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all customer and supplier-related quality assurance activities.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in Product or Quality Assurance within a regulated spaceflight manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience in the design, manufacturing, testing, qualification, and delivery of spaceflight hardware.
  • Strong technical writing skills, with experience producing comprehensive technical documents.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and their implementation in an industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in quality tools, methods, and procedures.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with RAMS, Radiation, EEE Parts, Materials, and Processes.
  • Preferred expertise in:
  • Satellite/subsystem Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT).
  • Ground support equipment and electronic units (digital communications hardware, PCB, integrated circuits).
  • Manufacturing processes such as soldering, coatings, and bonding.
  • Satellite payloads.
