Product Assurance Engineer

ALL.SPACE is seeking a highly skilled Product Assurance Engineer to join our Product Assurance / Quality Team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of a high-tech innovative product to the market.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform product testing to high standards, as defined by ALL.SPACE procedures and in accordance with recognized national and international standards.
  • Conduct testing using in-house test facilities and equipment.
  • Identify issues and engage with stakeholders to find timely and effective resolution.
  • Provide input, feedback, and improvement suggestions on test plan content and test configuration/set-up.
  • Deliver timely and accurate data and reporting of test completion and outcome.
  • Support customer witnessed testing activities.
  • Seek opportunities for improving ways of working, doing things better, cheaper, and/or faster while maintaining reliability and quality.
  • Establish healthy working relationships with key stakeholders and become a trusted partner.
  • Ensure compliance with defined operational safety controls and contribute to risk assessments and safety improvements.
Requirements
  • 2+ years EMC/environmental testing experience with electronics/telecommunication products.
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-810.
  • Practical experience of setting up and conducting EMC/environmental tests for aerospace/defence/commercial products.
  • Proficient user of bench top test equipment.
  • Must be detail-focused but with the ability to multitask and manage own deliverables.
  • Confident with working across multifunctional teams and good communicator to senior and junior colleagues both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be a team player and have good interpersonal skills, able to influence others by example and setting high standards.
  • Experienced user of Microsoft office tools, able to manipulate and analyse data within Excel.
  • Comfortable travelling to various test houses around the UK to perform testing.
  • UK driving license.
Desirable
  • Experience with CE/FCC marking process.
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent in engineering or technical discipline.
  • Experience of working with electrodynamic shakers and thermal chambers.
Additional Notes

Based at Portman Road but may be required to spend periods of time off-site at external test houses (project dependent).
