Are you passionate about property management and ready to take on a leadership role? Harte Recruitment is seeking an experienced Property Management Team Leader to join a dynamic team in Leeds


The Property Management Team Leader will oversee a team responsible for managing a portfolio of properties on behalf of landlords. This includes ensuring compliance with regulations, delivering excellent service to both landlords and tenants, and maintaining high standards of property care. A key focus of this role is implementing and maintaining robust auditing and compliance routines to ensure the portfolio operates with integrity and efficiency.


As Property Management Team Leader, you will lead by example, demonstrating outstanding behaviours, conduct, and professionalism, to set the standard for the team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive operational excellence, nurture a high-performing team, and ensure service delivery is consistently upheld to the highest standards. Your strong communication and leadership skills will play a vital role in fostering trust with landlords, tenants, and colleagues alike.



The Package


  • Up to £50,000 basic salary per annum
  • Monday to Thursday 09:00-18:00 + Friday, 09:00-17:00

The Property Management Team Leader Role


  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of property managers to achieve high performance and morale.
  • Oversee property portfolio management, ensuring compliance with all regulations and agreements.
  • Develop and implement auditing schedules, addressing discrepancies and risks proactively.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for landlords, offering market insights and strategic advice.
  • Address escalated landlord or tenant concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Drive process improvements and streamline operations through innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Lettings Manager & Director of Lettings to integrate new technologies and strategies.



The Person


  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
  • Previous experience in property management with line management responsibility
  • Extensive knowledge of property management legislation and compliance standards.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, adaptable to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities, capable of handling multiple priorities.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach to resolving challenges.
  • ARLA Property mark qualification (desirable) or willingness to achieve it.
  • Familiarity with property management software and industry standards.
  • A commitment to professionalism, integrity, and delivering outstanding service.
