We partner with a global leader in Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), battery chargers, and backup power systems, supporting key sectors such as chemical, telecommunications, and public transportation. Our expertise is in delivering high-reliability, customized solutions.


Responsibilities

  • Travel approximately 60-70% within the East Midlands, UK.
  • Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Install equipment and conduct functional tests to ensure proper operation.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues to identify root causes.
  • Update software and adjust control system settings.
  • Replace components such as wiring, fuses, circuit breakers, capacitors, power modules, and PCBs.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation for each trip, including reports, photos, and schematics.
  • Occasionally provide on-call troubleshooting support via phone or computer.


Qualifications

  • Knowledge of electricity, specifically in AC and DC power conversion equipment.
  • Skilled in interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and one-line diagrams.
  • Proficient with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and load banks.
  • Experience with field service on UPS systems, rectifiers, inverters, or DC-DC converters is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Effective at troubleshooting electrical issues and user errors in high-pressure environments.
