About the job

Our client, a leading construction contractor within their field., with a background of hundreds of projects across Europe, are seeking to bolster their Quantity Surveying team across a couple of levels due to continued project growth across the UK.


Our client believes in people and heavily supports development; they are looking for candidates that are looking to grow into management level. The corporate offices are in Berkshire but projects are across the UK.


Your responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining upon client relationships.
  • Commercially management of contracts: application preparation, Identify and value client change requests, managing client Valuations.
  • Serve contract notices in accordance with the contract, and customer / company policy.
  • Sub-Contractor commercial management: Tendering process and negotiations, Placing Orders, and contracts. Managing subcontractors’ applications, variations, payments, and final accounts.
  • Ongoing liaison with site team, subcontractors, and Customers’ representatives.
  • Project Reporting. Reporting to Senior staff; Compiling Monthly CVR Reports and commercial risk report and cost forecast.
  • Building and implementing systems of work within the QS department to achieve the above.


Your personal profile:

  • Academic level of thinking and working
  • 3-5 years of relevant QS construction experience, including JCT management (JCT experience is desirable)
  • Knowledge in construction planning and understanding of construction execution.
  • Ability to manage contracts, calculations, and budgets
  • Positive, Self-assured and motivated
  • Productive, flexible and eager to learn
  • A natural leader, motivating and inspiring
  • Willing to travel across the country and abroad as required
