This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and make a significant impact on the efficiency of the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the stock and reconciliation process, ensuring accuracy and efficient tracking of materials.
  • Take responsibility for all material and replenishment processes across the factory to meet production demands.
  • Generate reports from ERP systems (preferably Syspro, SAGE, or SAP) and perform cycle counting, adjusting inventories as needed.
  • Manage daily cycle counting tasks and report any discrepancies, including slow-moving or troublesome parts.
  • Lead the knitting RM team, ensuring kitting accuracy, following plans, and maintaining smooth production flow.
  • Support SMT production by restocking component shelves and ensuring correct PCBs are issued to the production line.
  • Design and manage milk runs to deliver materials to various production areas, ensuring inventory levels are maintained.
  • Address ad hoc material issues, supporting both raw materials (RM) and finished goods (FG) areas as needed.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure materials are available on time and production targets are met.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (37.5 hours per week).
  • Training may require standard working hours at other facilities prior to the main site opening.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with experience in ERP systems (Syspro, SAGE, SAP preferred but not essential).
  • Previous experience in material control within a production environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to direct a small team effectively.
  • Attention to detail, particularly in stock control and material management.
  • Willingness to train at other facilities to ensure smooth process handover before the main site opens.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Competitive annual salary, starting at £30,000 depending on experience.
  • Overtime available, paid at 1.5x the hourly rate.
  • 25 days holiday plus public bank holidays.
  • Group personal pension plan with up to 5% employer contribution from day one.
  • Employee Assistance Programme, life assurance cover, and additional benefits including bike-to-work scheme, eyecare vouchers, flu vaccinations, and more.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in material coordination to join an expanding and innovative company while contributing to its success in a state-of-the-art production environment.
