Iconic Resourcing HR are working with an established financial services firm in Scotland who are looking for a Workforce Planning Manager to join their team to cover a period of maternity leave. Our client have offices based in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle and Aberdeen.
This role involves managing a small team, including the Resource Planning Assistant Manager and Senior Assistant. The primary responsibilities include monthly and quarterly reporting to the Head of Audit and Leadership Groups, focusing on utilization, budgeting, resourcing, availability, and capacity planning. The position requires collaboration with the Partner/Director Group to provide strategic advice on resourcing for new wins and tenders. Leading the budgeting process, the role oversees the Resource Management (RM) Team and business lines, ensuring resource planning up to 12 months in advance. Key responsibilities also include addressing resourcing conflicts, supporting business line communications, and advising on capacity constraints, performance, and delivery issues.
We are looking for someone with:
- Experience of managing a small team
- Experience within financial services (ideally an audit function)
- Ability to manage challenging conversations
- Ability to manipulate different data sets and work comfortably with Excel
