Surrey, United Kingdom Ringway Full time

Ringway Infrastructure Services is seeking a Community and Place Manager to lead and deliver impactful initiatives that improve lives across Surrey. In this pivotal role, you’ll engage with key stakeholders, build partnerships, and ensure the delivery of projects that align with Surrey County Council’s priorities and Ringway’s business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead the delivery of Ringway’s Social Value Strategy, focusing on initiatives that align with Surrey’s social and economic priorities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Surrey County Council, local communities, education groups, and social organisations.
  • Implement social recruitment strategies to create opportunities for individuals with disabilities, neurodiversity, young people, military service leavers, and people with convictions.
  • Work with schools, STEM organisations, and young people to promote careers in highways and remove barriers to entry into the industry.
  • Recruit and support apprentices while working with the supply chain to maximise opportunities for work placements and community support.
  • Drive employee wellbeing initiatives, including the ManBassador programme, and support equality, diversity, and inclusion activities to reflect the Surrey workforce.
  • Map, monitor, and report on social value KPIs, ensuring all activities are aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Inspire employee involvement in volunteering, charity initiatives, and school engagement activities.
  • Work closely with the Business Manager, HS Advisor, and senior management to ensure seamless delivery of community and place goals.

About You:

We’re looking for an inspiring and driven individual with:

  • Proven experience in delivering social value initiatives, ideally within the construction or highways sector.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to manage diverse interests.
  • Knowledge of social value measurement tools (e.g., TOMS, Loop, National Highways).
  • A demonstrable understanding of sustainability and social impact agendas.
  • Exceptional organisational, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

What We Offer:

  • An opportunity to make a real difference in the community while being part of a leading infrastructure services company.
  • A dynamic and supportive team environment.
  • A chance to work on flagship projects with a focus on innovation and excellence.

Additional Information:

The role is primarily based in Surrey but may require occasional travel across the southeast region.

If you’re passionate about improving communities, fostering partnerships, and driving social value, we’d love to hear from you
