Expleo Engineering are seeking an Electrical Facility Engineer to work at our clients site in Sunderland on either a contract or permanent basis, via ourselves.


Responsibilities of the Electrical Facility Engineer include:-

  • Involvement in refurbishment/obsolescence activities whilst complying with CE marking, safety regulations, etc.
  • Support Production and Maintenance functions to achieve volume delivery.
  • Provide technical support to Maintenance function to achieve machine performance and OEE targets.
  • Design and implement safety improvements within the Castings department.
  • Management and control of contract labour ensuring safety compliance, co-ordination and quality of work.
  • Work closely with planning engineering to deliver facility upgrades/modifications.
  • Plan, lead and manage improvement activities during non-Production times, including weekends and shutdown periods.
  • Management of service contracts, procured services and revenue budget.


Experience and Qualifications required for the Electrical Facility Engineer role:

  • Qualified to minimum of HNC in electrical discipline.
  • Proven experience in facility upgrade and schedule management.
  • Management of on-site contractor activities.
  • Excellent inter-communication and report writing skills.
  • Strong analytical reporting skills.
  • Good understanding of legal compliance – LOLER, PUWER, Environmental, etc. (preferable).
  • An understanding of PLC's is preferred.
