About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Facilities Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical and controls maintenance and installation activities are completed to an appropriate standard throughout the hospital.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain electrical systems, including testing and asset condition surveys
  • Work closely with technical and non-technical colleagues to provide specialist electrical input and management oversight
  • Participate in the current on-call rota and undertake overtime when the service needs dictate
  • Manage external contractors and directly employed labour to ensure efficient use of resources
Requirements
  • Significant post-apprenticeship/graduation electrical experience
  • Experience of undertaking an engineering management role within a large acute hospital or similar industry
  • Educated to degree level qualification or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Specialist knowledge to master's level of electrical systems acquired through specialist courses and CPD
