Our client is a leading fintech payments company based in London, UK. They are at the forefront of innovation in the financial services industry, providing a cutting-edge solution for lending while prioritising compliance with regulatory standards with the consumer in mind.


Position Overview:

We are partnering with our client to find an experienced Senior Compliance Manager and MLRO to join their dynamic team. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the company's compliance with financial regulations and serving as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer(MLRO / CF11). The successful candidate will have a strong background in compliance within the financial services sector, coupled with excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify compliance vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate risks effectively.
  • Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and update internal policies accordingly.
  • Provide compliance training and guidance to employees, particularly in areas such as anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) requirements.
  • Manage the compliance monitoring program, including conducting audits and reviews.
  • Investigate and resolve compliance issues, incidents, and breaches in a timely manner.
  • Act as the MLRO(CF11), ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering regulations.
  • Foster positive relationships with regulatory bodies and handle inquiries and requests for information.
  • Have the customer in mind at all times adhering to Consumer Credit Regulations / Consumer Duty


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, law, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CAMS, CFE, or CRCM are desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance roles within the financial services industry, preferably within fintech or payments.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, particularly AML and KYC requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
