Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Liquidity Risk Manager to join our clients dynamic London Risk team. This key role will involve developing, implementing, and maintaining the firm’s liquidity risk management framework, while also contributing to the overall enterprise risk strategy.


The ideal candidate will have significant experience in liquidity risk management, with strong exposure to commodities market risk (though not necessary).


This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with deep knowledge of risk management principles and methodologies to make an impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liquidity Risk Framework:
  • Lead the establishment, development, and maintenance of the firm’s liquidity risk management framework, policies, and procedures.
  • Continuously improve and enhance the liquidity risk management infrastructure, focusing on stress testing, analytics, system support, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Risk Analysis & Strategy:
  • Identify potential liquidity risk exposures and work closely with key stakeholders to design and implement effective risk management strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Risk Management team to integrate liquidity risk management with the firm's broader enterprise risk efforts.
  • Business Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Treasury, Finance, and Business Units to ensure liquidity risk strategies align with the institution’s overall funding and business strategies.
  • Provide dedicated coverage for the Market Risk Management of the Commodities business line.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Stay informed about current regulatory developments and ensure the firm’s compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.

Skills & Experience:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in liquidity risk management within a Financial Institution, with demonstrable experience in how various business lines impact liquidity requirements.
  • Commodities Market Risk Management: Proven experience managing risk within commodities markets is des
  • Technical & Analytical Skills:
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to assess, analyse, and explain complex risk scenarios.
  • Expertise in stress testing, risk analytics, and liquidity risk infrastructure is essential.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels within the organization.
