We are currently searching for a storage engineer to join a team on an exciting security cleared project. The successful candidate will join a highly skilled team of project engineers.


The role will require a flexible working ethic and a pragmatic approach to IT support. Successful candidates will have a third line support background and great customer service and communication skills.


Additionally, they will have a keen interest in innovation alongside a willingness to implement new ways of working and automation.


Your Job:


  • Create and maintain documentation.
  • Work to ITIL best practice.
  • Implement standards, policies, and procedures for continual service improvement.
  • Automate and improve everything you can.
  • Share your knowledge and learn from others.
  • Proactively look for risks and problems and make sure they get fixed.
  • Assist to build compliance with process and policies.

  • Resolve storage issues in a timely manner.
  • Upgrade, implement, monitor policies, and procedures to ensure steady storage provisioning, protection of data, and adherence to compliance.
  • Update technical knowledge regularly on latest technologies.
  • Provide support and training to various engineers where required.
  • Experience in solution architecture would be advantageous.
  • Diagnose and remove performance issues.
  • Not be afraid to challenge the current working practices and constantly look to improve processes and working practices.


Your skills & experience:


We are looking for people with in-depth knowledge of;


  • EMC Storage Systems, VNX, Powerstore, Unity VNXe, NetApp, PURE
  • Veritas NetBackup, Dell EMC Networker
  • San fabric hardware: Cisco and Brocade
  • Implementation and ongoing support of multiple storage arrays of differing flavours.
  • Automation of repeatable tasks.
  • Implementation of storage array OS and firmware upgrades
  • Change Management and Implementation within an Enterprise Environment.

  • UK national and able to meet criteria for Security Clearance (up to SC level).
