Senior Computer Vision Engineer

Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Image Processing, hardware-in-loop, test

Our client, a global hi-tech manufacturer, are seeking an experienced Computer Vision Engineer to join their growing software and robotics team with the key focus of developing groundbreaking propriety products, already revered wihin the global engineering community.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Design and develop computer vision algorithms.
  • Support integration with wider robotics function and other software teams.
  • Contribute to verification and validation including with hardware
  • Support live operations
  • Review and guide junior engineers.


Required Skills:


  • Experience with image data from various sources, real and artificial.
  • Proven track record in designing and developing computer vision solutions.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python and C/C++.
  • Image Processing:
  1. Filtering
  2. Convolution
  3. Edge detection
  4. Noise reduction
  5. Image enhancement
  6. Feature extraction
  • Strong understanding of computer vision techniques, including detection, tracking, and classification.
  • Experience with designing experimental testbeds for data generation and collection.
  • Degree in engineering, science, or mathematics disciplines - especially ML, computer vision or similar.


Desired Skills:


  • Proficiency in machine learning and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch).
  • 3D reconstruction, object tracking, and autonomous navigation.
  • Expertise in lidar-based computer vision.
