Technical Coordinator

Maidstone, Kent

Up to £55,000 + Package


We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Coordinator to join our client’s team in Maidstone. As a Technical Coordinator, you will manage the full design process, working closely with consultants, statutory authorities, and various internal and external stakeholders. Your main responsibility will be ensuring that designs comply with relevant legislation, standards, and the client’s policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Professional integrity, care, and quality in line with company values
  • BTEC HND/HNC in Design, Construction, or Civil Engineering
  • Extensive experience in a technical role within a residential housebuilder
  • Proficiency in IT with experience in AutoCAD, Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Proven ability in Senior Technical Coordinator roles, delivering projects on time and to budget
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with multitasking abilities
  • Commercial awareness and decision-making capability
  • Team leader and team player with strong problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, both internally and externally


Desirable:

  • Membership of a professional body (e.g., ICE, CIAT, CIOB)
  • Principle Designer training/qualifications
  • CSCS card qualification
  • Experience using Viewpoint drawing management system
  • Experience managing technical fees and services costs


About the role:

  • Manage multiple sites from design to completion, coordinating with the Technical Director/Manager
  • Undertake the Principal Designer role per the Construction Design & Management Regulations 2015
  • Coordinate and manage surveys, reports, and consultant appointments
  • Oversee the submission of designs, ensuring timely approvals and legal agreements
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure design consistency
  • Prepare and submit documents for tender, construction, and sales handover
  • Chair and attend meetings with consultants and internal teams
  • Monitor technical and development fees, including S106 obligations
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies
