We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader within the care sector to become the head of our sister company Cherished Home Care (CHC). As part of The Good Care Group and Oxford Aunts, we are leading the care industry to raise standards by providing high quality, personalised and specialist services that enable people to live in their own homes for longer. You will be directly accountable for leading the business and for ensuring that all employees at all levels understand the vision, mission and values. About the role:


The Head of Cherished Home Care is a senior leadership role, with complete responsibility and accountability for the CHC brand, it will require careful and thoughtful collaboration with all of the support teams within the businesses, and is effectively a small Manager Director role as you will have the freedom to shape this business.

You will be ultimately responsible for the delivery of business development, client and revenue growth as well as talent management, carer availability, quality and compliance through leadership teams spanning all our businesses. You’ll be accountable for all operational compliance measures ensuring the business is always inspection ready. You will deliver consistent core offers and operating models whilst working on the identification and delivery of new products (services) as needed to take advantage of the market or to drive profitable growth.


About you:


It’s essential you have excellent working knowledge of the care sector with proven leadership quality. You might have been a third line manager, managing people who manage other managers. You might have strong financial and commercial business acumen, with demonstrable evidence of tight cost control in a low margin environment. If you have the ability to analyse and resolve problems in a timely manner, work well with others and demonstrate senior leadership qualities, we’d like to hear from you. If you’re as passionate about quality care as we are, this is a great opportunity to apply your excellent communication and relationship building skills in a business that genuinely makes a difference. As there will be some travel involved you’ll also need to be a driver with your own car.


We’re looking for:


  • Excellent working knowledge of the care sector, with proven leadership quality and experience holding registration with the CQC
  • Several years of experience working as a third line manager (managing people

who manage other managers)

  • Proven coaching and mentoring focused skills and experience
  • Strong financial and commercial business acumen, with demonstrable evidence of tight cost control in a low margin environment
  • Ability to analyse and resolve problems in a timely manner, work well with others and demonstrate senior leadership qualities
  • Excellent communicator and confident in presenting to a variety of audiences
  • Demonstrable experience in successfully influencing decision making at senior leadership levels
  • Experience of project management and programme control
  • Experience working with budgets
  • Good IT skills
  • Degree educated social care qualifications
  • As there will be some travel involved, being a driver with your own car is essential
