Position Summary:

The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of the M&A in driving the success and growth of their mid-market focused division. As the number 2 to the team lead, this position offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to the strategic direction of the team and actively engage in deal execution.


Responsibilities:


Deal Origination and Execution:

  • Collaborate with the Head of M&A to identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets and opportunities within the mid-market space.
  • Lead and participate in due diligence activities, financial analysis, and deal structuring.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, investors, and other relevant parties.

Team Leadership and Mentorship:

  • Provide leadership to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Offer guidance and mentorship to team members in deal execution, client interactions, and professional development.

Strategy and Business Development:

  • Contribute to the formulation and execution of the team's strategic initiatives and business development plans.
  • Work closely with the Head of M&A to explore new market opportunities and expand the client base.

Client Engagement:

  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and objectives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to align M&A activities with overall company objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in M&A within the mid-market space, with a focus on deal execution and origination.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in a managerial or team lead role.
  • Strategic thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
