Chief Marketing Officer:


Agora Talent are excited to be partnered with a rapidly growing direct-to-consumer (DTC) start-up in the consumer goods industry. With an exciting founding team and significant VC investment, the company prides themselves in exceptional product quality and always putting customers first. The company is also a B-Corp and puts sustainability at the heart of what they do.


As the business continues to scale, the team are looking for a dynamic and experienced Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) who has led a marketing strategy in a business that has seen exponential growth. This role will not suit anyone who with recent experience working for a larger corporation, as the team needs someone who can be agile and react quickly when no two days are the same.


Position Overview:


The team are seeking a visionary CMO with a proven track record scaling the marketing in a fast-paced environment, working with a physical DTC product. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of brand and digital marketing expertise, with the ability to strategise and execute marketing plans that drive customer acquisition, retention, and brand loyalty. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the company's growth objectives and brand vision.
  • Brand Development: Enhance and maintain the brand's identity, ensuring consistency across all channels and touch points.
  • Digital Marketing: Lead digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and content marketing to drive traffic, engagement, and conversions.
  • Customer Acquisition & Retention: Implement innovative marketing campaigns to attract and retain customers, leveraging data-driven insights and market research.
  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage a marketing team of 3, opportunity to grow the team as the company scales.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Establish KPIs and utilise analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, providing regular performance reports to the executive team.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve maximum ROI.
  • Market Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to keep the brand at the forefront of the market.


Qualifications:


  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years in marketing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a high-growth DTC brand.
  • Brand & Digital Expertise: Demonstrated success in both brand building and digital marketing, with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in using data analytics and performance metrics to drive decision-making and optimise marketing strategies.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire a diverse team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
