About the Role:
As part of the Digital Team, this role is responsible for enhancing the online customer experience across the company’s ecommerce platform and B2B tools, optimising key business metrics. This newly created position involves supporting website maintenance, back-office projects, and improving operational efficiency to empower internal teams. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Project Managers, Analysts, Developers, UX Designers, and Marketing Executives to deliver high-quality digital experiences. This position requires a minimum of three days per week in the office.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a roadmap, prioritising features and enhancements based on business impact, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
- Lead the development team, actively participating in Agile ceremonies, representing customer and business perspectives to guide strategic decisions.
- Manage end-to-end solution delivery, including supporting Marketing in crafting internal and external communications.
- Write clear, detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team.
- Work with stakeholders to refine product requirements.
- Partner with UX designers to create top-tier experiences, conducting user testing to ensure solutions meet user needs.
- Oversee the discovery process, conducting market research and user analysis to identify needs and opportunities.
- Collaborate with designers to develop testable prototypes to validate solutions.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the product, acting as a primary point of contact for the digital team, business stakeholders, and external partners.
- Develop business cases for major projects requiring steering committee approval.
- Work with the Digital Manager to shape a product roadmap for the trade website and digital tools.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience as a Product Owner in an ecommerce business.
- Strong focus on understanding customer behaviour and pain points to deliver optimal solutions.
- Technically proficient with a solid understanding of website architecture and technical constraints, capable of translating technical information for non-technical stakeholders.
- Skilled in mapping user journeys and process flows.
- Proficient in prioritization techniques and comfortable gathering customer insights.
- Analytical mindset, leveraging data to inform decisions.
- Familiarity with UX best practices and experience articulating user experience quality.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, Scrum, and tools like Confluence and JIRA.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a knack for building trust and effective communication.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience enhancing a B2B digital product.
- Previous experience as a Product Manager.
- Advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with Jira.
