A market-leading main contractor in the Construction industry has a new opportunity for a Project Planner to join their established Planning team based in London. The projects are located In Central London and surrounding areas.


This is an excellent opportunity for a Planner eager to develop and enhance their skills. You'll have the chance to learn from highly experienced Senior Planners and a Head of Planning dedicated to helping team members advance to the next level.


There is an option to work from offices based in either Central London or Essex, with the role offering a blend of office and site-based work, along with some remote working opportunities.


Role Overview:

As a Planner, you'll work closely with our project team, contributing to a diverse array of projects across the London region. These projects span multiple sectors, including Commercial, Education, Healthcare, and Residential, with project values of up to £100m.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage fully integrated programmes that encompass all disciplines (e.g., design, commercial, construction), ensuring alignment with output rates, benchmarking, time risk allowances, and terminal floats/buffers to meet contractual deadlines and trade package agreements.
  • Evaluate subcontractor programmes and logistics to ensure compliance with contract conditions.
  • Foster a positive team environment, promoting inclusivity and encouraging diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences.
  • Contribute to tender settlements by providing benchmarking data.
  • Support the project team with weekly/fortnightly progress reports and updates to the BI dashboard.


This Planner role is ideal if you have:

  • Experience in construction planning within a main contractor environment.
  • A relevant construction-related academic qualification (BSc, HNC/D, etc.).
  • Proficiency in planning techniques and tools.
  • Expertise in using Asta Powerproject.
  • A solid understanding of various forms of tender documents, contracts, and specifications, including JCT, NEC, or bespoke forms of Construction Contracts.
