Mechanical Site Manager – Building Services

Location: Oxford

Employment Type: Permanent


Our client, an established provider of Mechanical and Electrical services across a range of construction sectors, is expanding its team and seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager for projects in Oxford. This role reports directly to the Project/Contracts Manager and requires close coordination with suppliers, site supervisors, project managers, EHSQ advisors, and subcontractors to ensure high-quality project delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

· Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical building services.

· Ensure all necessary permits are in place and adhered to.

· Conduct inspections and testing to identify and resolve mechanical issues.

· Liaise with main contractors and the on-site client team for smooth project execution.

· Ensure on-site compliance with EHSQ, RAMS, PPE, and other safety protocols.

· Coordinate plant hire, tools, and labour effectively.

· Manage and supervise on-site labour and subcontractors.

· Handle relevant external communications.

· Order materials required for daily site operations and update progress reports.

· Maintain accurate records in the client’s Document Management System.

· Oversee project-specific scheduling and monitor quality reporting.


Qualifications & Experience:

· Relevant trade qualification or further education in mechanical building services.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Mechanical Supervisor or Site Manager.

· Proven experience managing teams.

· Project management experience is advantageous.

· Strong computer literacy and exceptional interpersonal skills.

· Willingness to travel if required.
