Ealing, United Kingdom Hestia Housing Support Full time

We are Hestia. We make a difference.

At Hestia, we are guided by our core values and are dedicated to fostering an equitable, diverse, and inclusive organisation. We provide a range of services, including Domestic Abuse support, Modern Slavery assistance, Mental Health & Complex Needs care, and Criminal Justice. Our mission is to empower individuals to rebuild their lives and achieve independence.

The service you will work in….

Dame Gertrude Young House (DGYH) is an accommodation-based service comprising of 23 units for men who have severe and enduring mental health needs, and who are also owed a homelessness duty by the local authority. With an emphasis on supporting the transition for service users, the service has a strong focus on empowering people on their journey towards independence and recovery.

The service enables people to develop the life skills required to maintain their independence in the community thus preventing the otherwise unnecessary use of more institutional forms of care and hospital admissions and move on to less supported ‘step down' accommodation, before eventually moving on to live independently in the community. The service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, 7 days a week by onsite recovery workers and double sleep-in cover. Full housing management and supported facilities are provided.

  • To liaise effectively with statutory providers and other voluntary sector agencies involved in the support and / or treatment service users.
