This is a full time role, but part time applicants will be considered for 3 days/week FTE or more.


Working as part of the team Portfolio Management Team the successful applicant will contribute to and lead third party manager searches, reviews, and analysis. Additionally, they will work as part of a team generating portfolio proposals to reflect manager selection and asset allocation decisions, as well as implementing them in our fund of funds.


Responsibilities

Fund manager research:

  • Leading searches for new fund managers for our range of model portfolio and funds
  • Chairing meetings with potential managers as well as reviews with current holdings
  • Writing up notes and recommendations based on meetings
  • Presenting findings internally to support proposals
  • Assisting with client queries and meetings where required


Portfolio Management:

  • Generating and approving trades to ensure funds remain close to model and within regulatory limits
  • Design and monitoring of model portfolios
  • Develop internal processes to improve client outcomes and efficiencies
  • Contribute to asset allocation discussions and help implement decisions from the investment committee across platforms and funds


Technical skills required:

  • You have some experience of fund manager selection
  • You have experience with portfolio construction in either a FoF or model portfolio context
  • You are familiar with regulatory limits of UCITS and NURS fund structures
  • You understand portfolio risk and exposures


Regulatory skills required

  • Understanding of regulatory requirements affecting the TIML business, specifically investment management.


Soft & generic skills required

  • Team Player
  • Organisational Skills
  • Proactive ownership of tasks and external relationships


Qualifications

  • You have a relevant investment management qualification (e.g. CFA, IMC)
  • Fund and 3rd party manager research experience
