iGP – Senior Occupational Health Nursing Advisor (OHNA)

iGP Occupational Health (iGP OH) is expanding in South Wales, and we have an exciting opportunity for two experienced and motivated Occupational Health Nurse Advisers to join our team. We are recruiting for one full-time post in West Wales and one part-time post in Cardiff.


As a Senior OHNA with iGP, you will play a key role in supporting employees with both short and long-term health conditions, while assisting managers in meeting their legal obligations and promoting employee wellbeing. Your responsibilities will include producing comprehensive management reports, advising on workplace health issues, reviewing health questionnaires, and conducting medical assessments.


Locations

The role includes site visits, working from our offices in Carmarthen and Swansea, or Cardiff and Newport, with some home-working flexibility. A full UK driving licence is essential. You will work independently but with regular clinical supervision and support from the OH Lead, Occupational Health Physician, and the wider team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage up to 5 referrals per day, allowing a minimum of 30 minutes for administration.
  • Provide clear and comprehensive management reports on sickness absence and employee wellbeing.
  • Conduct health surveillance and medical assessments, including Audiometry, Spirometry, and safety-critical medicals.
  • Administer vaccinations and perform phlebotomy as part of wellbeing programmes.
  • Assist with implementing a Patient Management System and contribute towards achieving SEQOHS accreditation.


Requirements


Qualifications

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, with no restrictions.
  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health Practice, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.


Skills & Experience

  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage workload independently and prioritise effectively.
  • Proven ability to write clear, comprehensive management reports.
  • Experience in safety-critical medicals (Tier 3 HAVS qualification beneficial, but not essential).
  • Proficient IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and digital management systems.
  • Knowledge of GDPR, Data Protection, and handling sensitive data within an occupational health setting.
