Role Summary:
We are seeking a talented Technical Sales/Sales Engineer (TDS) to join our dynamic team and support acre’s sales efforts in the UK and EMEA regions. In this role, you’ll collaborate with key end-users and the sales team on solution design, pre-sales activities, vertical-specific campaigns, and customer demos. You will also advise internal and external stakeholders on technical architecture, integration, and cloud solutions. Each Sales Engineer is assigned a specific territory but works closely with the broader pre-sales team to support all acre markets with our leading Workplace & Access Control solutions.
What You’ll Do:
In addition to the above, you’ll focus on the following:
- Advise clients on technical requirements, ensuring proposed solutions meet both current and future needs.
- Provide technical guidance throughout the sales process, including pre-sales consultation, proposal creation, and client workshops.
- Identify and document potential solutions, collaborating with Product and R&D teams on proposals for new features and integrations.
- Support bidding teams with tender responses, INFOSEC and cloud assessments, and provide architectural guidance for smooth customer onboarding.
- Scope customer requests related to cloud infrastructure, APIs, and integrations, ensuring solutions align with technical capabilities.
- Engage key customers, collaborating with sales to strengthen relationships and close strategic opportunities.
- Work with operations and project teams to ensure a seamless handover from sales to delivery, addressing technical challenges as needed.
- Represent the company at industry events, maintain CRM accuracy, and draft Statements of Work (SOWs) to support customer needs.
What You'll Need to be Successful:
- Holds a degree in Engineering, Technical Sales, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience in security systems manufacturing or integration.
- Brings 3-5 years of experience in electronic security systems, with strong skills in solution design, system support, and maintenance.
- Skilled in web applications, databases, networking, REST APIs, SQL, and information security protocols.
- Deep understanding of software development, cloud computing, and architecture design, including microservices, containerization, and event-driven architecture.
- Experienced with SSO (SAML, OAuth), Enterprise IT frameworks (e.g., SCIM, IPaaS), and device management platforms like AirWatch and Microsoft InTune.
- Adopts a consultative sales approach, skilled in creating technical documentation, system diagrams, and client-focused solutions.
- Demonstrates a proactive, strategic mindset with a focus on achieving results, adaptability, and an entrepreneurial attitude.
- Excellent communicator with expertise in CRM management, planning, and simplifying technical concepts for diverse audiences.
