Client Onboarding

Salary – Up to £70,000

Location – Victoria


Client Delivery is to be a newly formed department created within the wider Operations function. The Client Delivery team will have a mandate to focus on an improved customer onboarding process and experience for clients. To achieve this objective required an experienced Client Onboarding Analyst to assist with the set-up of the department, management of day-to-day BAU and a mindset to drive continuous improvement within the function.

As the role matures there will be opportunities to influence its direction within the organisation and collaboratively work with key stakeholders in the Front Office, KYC, Legal, Credit and Compliance departments. These stakeholder interactions will offer the successful candidate an environment in which their profile can be significantly raised within the organisation.

The role at all times must adhere to the Conduct Rules as set out in the Senior Manager & Certification Regime (SMCR).


Key Responsibilities:


  • Cross functional coordination and monitoring of the client onboarding process.
  • Work with the Client Delivery manager to enhance / re-design the current state process.
  • Production of management information to track client status and blockages.
  • Work with Client delivery manager and FO business manager on addressing blockages across the functions.
  • Creation of documentation and FAQs to help clients through the onboarding process.
  • Documentation of standard operating procedures and policy relating to the new department.
  • Partnership with Front Office, Credit, Legal and KYC teams.
  • Working with marketers on bespoke pre-onboarding origination requests.
  • Design, build and analysis of customer surveys to inform business decisions relating to the client.
  • Build a formal Offboarding process in cooperation with KYC.


Qualifications and Skills:


  • Experience working in a Client Onboarding role within a trading firm or investment bank.
  • Exposure to different onboarding systems and practices beneficial.
  • Experience within commodities and derivatives is beneficial.
  • Familiar with trading documentation such as ISDA Master Agreements and CSA.
  • Track record of building strong working relationships across departments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to be able to chair working groups.
  • Strong risk and control mindset.
  • Organised and structured work in a pressurised environment.
  • Confident in working with front office and management.

Competent in all Microsoft office applications.
