Position Overview:

Our client, a global investment bank is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Investment Banking Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support senior analysts and associates in executing a range of financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), initial public offerings (IPOs), and other corporate finance activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the investment banking industry and develop a strong foundation in financial analysis and modeling.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis & Modeling:

  • Assist in the preparation of detailed financial models, including discounted cash flow (DCF), leveraged buyout (LBO), and other valuation models.
  • Analyze financial statements, industry data, and market trends to support transaction execution.


Market Research & Industry Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, potential clients, and investment opportunities.
  • Prepare industry overviews and competitive analyses for various sectors.


Pitchbook & Presentation Preparation:

  • Assist in the preparation of client presentations, pitchbooks, and marketing materials.
  • Contribute to the development of detailed investment proposals and strategic presentations.


Transaction Support:

  • Support the due diligence process by gathering and analyzing relevant data.
  • Assist in the preparation of transaction documentation, including information memoranda and term sheets.


Client Interaction:

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of client deliverables.
  • Participate in client meetings and calls to understand client needs and objectives.


Project Management:

  • Work closely with senior team members to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met and deliverables are of high quality.
  • Track project progress and communicate updates to the team.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field. Relevant coursework or certifications (e.g., CFA Level I) is a plus.


Experience:

  • Previous internship experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or a related financial field is preferred but not required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ) is advantageous.


Analytical Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data and synthesize findings clearly.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to create clear, concise, and compelling presentations.
