Software Development Manager

Opportunity & Purpose

We’re searching for a Software Development Manager to take ownership of software design, development, and deployment. This role offers the chance to shape strategy, lead a skilled development team, and deliver business-critical projects that make a real impact.


️ The Role

  • Lead & Inspire: Oversee local and international development teams, drive collaboration, and champion best practices.
  • Project Delivery: Manage design, development, and deployment of core software applications.
  • Strategic Leadership: Own the development roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve technical challenges and remove roadblocks.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with wide ranging leaders and QA to prioritise development pipelines.


Requirements

Proven leadership experience (Software Manager, Head of Development, Development Manager, or IT leadership role involving full application SDLC.

Technical proficiency with AS400 systems

Project delivery expertise with experience managing multiple priorities and cross-functional teams.

Stakeholder engagement: Communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Budget management: Track development costs and forecasts.

Desirable: Agile/Scrum experience
