Quality Engineer Opportunity – Gloucestershire

Your Role at a Glance


As a Quality Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our products meet the highest industry standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Quality Assurance Leadership: Managing inspection and certification control plans and ensuring adherence to ISO 9001:2015.
  • Supporting Excellence: Collaborating with project management teams on contract reviews, PPAP, and FAIR processes.
  • APQP Expertise: Leading Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) to meet customer expectations.
  • Inspection & Testing: Performing visual and dimensional inspections, supporting final product sign-off, and managing non-conformance issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Conducting audits, analyzing performance metrics, and driving lean methodologies such as 5S and POKA YOKE.
  • Documentation & Standards: Interpreting engineering drawings, maintaining technical documentation, and working to defense standards.


What You’ll Bring

We’re seeking a dedicated professional who meets the following criteria:

  • Experience: Previous work in a quality engineering role, ideally within an electronics-based manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with defense standards, electronic/electrical components, and cabling.
  • Qualifications: ISO 9001:2015 auditing experience; knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth understanding of engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to work independently or within a team.
