Understanding Solutions have engaged with an established e-commerce business as they look to invest in improving the value in their data assets inc. a new CDP implementation, improvements to Data Maturity and Governance and introducing ML & predictive modeling.
About the Role
As a Data Transformation Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end data transformation process and involved in the planning and strategy for the initiatives above. You'll lead and work alongside an augmented team of data engineers and analysts initially consolidating customer data from multiple sources, transforming it into a unified customer view, and creating actionable insights for personalised marketing and customer experience initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
- Design, develop and execute a comprehensive data transformation strategy.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of data pipelines and transformation processes.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with data governance standards.
- Implement data transformation best practices and methodologies.
- Monitor and optimize data transformation processes for efficiency and performance.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in data transformation and management, preferably in the retail industry.
- Previous end-to-end omni-channel project experience.
- Expertise in data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes.
- Proficiency in data transformation tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS etc..
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Azure is preferred.
