Group Fleet Engineer – Newtownabbey

You’ll be working with a supportive and close-knit management team, to assist Montgomery Transport Group deliver on budget and drive efficiency.

We are now looking for a Fleet Engineering Manager to join our team in Newtownabbey.


Responsibilities:

To work closely with our key accounts, foster collaborative relationships between Montgomery Transport Group, our service partners, and our key accounts.

To own the maintenance budget for the fleet, managing R&M contracts & renewals, vendor service levels, and helping to control spend.

Oversee new project work, and working with our suppliers to ensure new kit is delivered on time, compliant and to specification.

The candidate will be required to travel and is required to meet with all key vendors that service a UK wide network of customer sites, to organise and host service review meetings with several vendors, and to scrutinise repairs and work order requests.

Working with large scale national accounts at director level, understanding customer needs and implementing these across a network of service providers.

The Candidate:

Excellent relationship building skills.

Confident hosting meetings with multiple stakeholders,

Ensure a world class service for our key accounts.

Understanding of fleet compliance

Highly organised & a great communicator

Previous Fleet, workshop operations and/or Engineering experience is essential.

Previous experience with ADR is desirable.

Previous experience of fleet and workshop operations essential

The successful candidate should have a proven knowledge in workshop management together with a working knowledge of DVSA and other corporate legislation and standards.

The considered applicant would ideally hold a relevant engineering qualification along with a C+E Driving Licence.

You will need to demonstrate a strong technical knowledge, proven communication skills and knowledge of H&S to ensure continued compliance of our operation.
