Purpose

The objective of the role is to drive revenue growth targets through crafting sales plans and new business development, growing client acquisition, maximising sales team potential including identifying development areas and training gaps, hiring new talent, responsible for sales team structured day-to-day performance management, and motivation whilst promoting a healthy competitive and sales driven culture.

You will have experience of working in start-up environment or a fast-paced high growth company, with critical attention to detail and a thirst for continuous improvement to develop ways of working to improve overall effectiveness.

The ideal Sales Manager will have a background in recruitment and exhibit strong leadership skills and previous experience of coaching and developing the Sales team.


Responsibilities


Team Leadership, Motivation & Managing Performance

o Provide inspirational leadership to the Business Development, Delivery and Project & Brands team cultivating a positive and high-performance culture.

o Motivate team members to excel in their roles, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.

o Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with the Leadership Team to gauge and improve team effectiveness. Objective setting, Coaching and Performance Monitoring

o Monthly ‘Management’ review, deeper dive across team performance metrics and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.

o Analyse department pipeline and recognise and inspire performance

o Develop career pathways across the business

o Coordinate team participation in client meetings and ensure seamless collaboration.

o Represent the team's achievements and challenges in leadership meetings.

o Be instrumental in creation and evolution of proposal documentation.

o Identify training and development needs within the team, fostering continuous learning and growth.

o Provide mentorship and guidance to team members to enhance their professional skills.

Strategic Oversight

o Solid understanding of marketing principles and how to influence brand awareness in the targeted niche of Diversity Equity & Inclusion.

o Expertise on how a recruitment & consultancy business operates in current climate through online content, information, and delivery.

o Responsibility for the CRM system Bullhorn, ensuring it is fully utilised by all members of staff to drive sales and source candidates

o Contribute insights and recommendations based on industry trends and team performance.

o Source talent for the business

o Identifying individual motivation levels and support with encouragement coaching where needed

o Succession planning for staff attrition


Business Development:

o Own the target for the sales team and report to the CEO on a monthly basis

o Designing sales strategy with CEO

o Business Development – Building a sales pipeline

o Achieve growth of client base

o Manage quality service standards by arranging and attending client service review meetings

o Negotiating client contracts

o Reviewing existing clients, ensuring PSL terms and agreements are in place

o Manage and retain existing business and win, convert, and develop new business

o Responding to new PSL opportunities

o Lead Monthly Team sales meetings and make recommendations for award winners

o Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement strategic plans for business development for both direct and indirect sales.

o Identify and create marketing opportunities

o Work closely with the Leadership Team to forecast team objectives and plan initiatives that align with organisational goals.

o Proactively identify potential challenges and opportunities in the business development landscape.

o Present sales revenue reports and realistic forecasts to the CEO monthly

o Managing P&L and gross profit
