About the role

Superscript is on the lookout for a helpful and enthusiastic IBA Specialist to play a key role in managing the financial operations related to our insurance brokerage activities.


Reporting to our IBA Manager, this is a great opportunity to join an experienced and friendly finance team in order to make an instant impact and provide exceptional service to our clients.


What you'll get up to:

  • Be at the forefront of all insurance broking accounting activities.
  • Manage client accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of client and insurer accounts (bordereaux) whilst identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Utilise Excel to analyse financial data, generate reports and support decision-making processes.
  • Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant regulations and internal policies, particularly those specific to the Lloyd’s of London market.
  • Work closely with the team to identify areas for process improvement and implement efficient and effective solutions.
  • Assist the IBA Manager with various tasks, including financial planning, budgeting, and audit preparation.


About you:

  • Around 3+ years experience within insurance broker accounting, ideally within the Lloyd’s of London market.
  • Proficient understanding of accounts payable and receivable for insurers.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Analytical and attention to detail.
  • Problem solving capabilities and using own initiative in doing so.
  • Able to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • A team player that enjoys collaborating in a cross-functional setting.
  • Understanding of compliance relevant to the insurance industry considered highly beneficial.
