About the Role

Global Edge are seeking a Mechanical Technician to join our clients maintenance team and play a vital role in the site's transformation roadmap. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, delivering world-class maintenance while prioritizing safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

As a valued member of the routine and base maintenance team, you will:

  • Collaborate with the First Line Supervisor to enhance your safety capacity using the Personal Safety Management System tools.
  • Tackle a variety of mechanical maintenance challenges with resilience, ownership, and innovative solutions.
  • Partner with the operations team to execute maintenance tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Provide input during planning phases and After Action Reviews to continuously improve processes.
  • Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis and collaborate with operations and engineering teams to prevent recurrence.

About You

To excel in this role, you will:

  • Have completed an NVQ Level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent in a Mechanical trade (an HNC in Mechanical Engineering is advantageous).
  • Possess experience in the Oil and Gas or Petrochemical industry.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate field conditions and recommend solutions.
  • Be adept at working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Show a passion for eliminating waste in maintenance processes and driving continuous improvement.
  • Be proficient in IT systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), with SAP experience being advantageous.
  • Adapt effectively to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and changing priorities, including the flexibility to work out of hours when required.
