Senior DBA with broad database experience required, remotely, by a leading data analytics SAAS firm to drive change, and advise on software development strategy for their enterprise level databases and inhouse software. A salary of around £75,000 + bonus is on offer together with 25 days holiday, private pension, healthcare, life and income protection insurance.


The Senior DBA will take charge of key projects focused on developing Oracle PL/SQL scripts for data translations (ETL system). Currently, application itself uses SQL to operate, but pulls data from Oracle. There are ambitions to migrate to other database systems, and so the Senior DBA will need experience/an interest in databases beyond Oracle.


The ideal Senior DBA candidate for this role will have excellent communication skills, and ideally, agnostic database experience across different systems such as Oracle PL/SQL, SQL Server, and perhaps non-SQL such as MongoDB and PostGreSQL.


You’ll have excellent understanding of database design concepts, data warehousing and data lakes. You’ll also need MS SSIS/SSRS MS SQL Server skills and experience scripting in DOS or PowerShell.

Bonus experience, that would be useful, but not essential include: Agile, Scrum, EPOS data, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
