Mechanical Project Manager Position Overview

As a member of the project management division, you will oversee the successful execution of mechanical and electrical (M&E) projects ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery of projects within the NHS trust in Kent.


Responsibilities include:

  • Manage end-to-end mechanical and electrical projects, from initiation through installation and commissioning.
  • Lead project teams, including engineers, subcontractors, and site staff.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, ensuring project alignment with their requirements.
  • Budget and Schedule Control: Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and address project risks proactively.
  • Health and Safety: Uphold safety protocols throughout the project lifecycle.


Mechanical Project Manager Person Specification

  • Relevant mechanical qualifications or experience.
  • SMSTS
  • Knowledge of Building Services: Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing mechanical / M&E projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Leadership Abilities: Proven track record of leading successful project teams
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational and customer service
  • Ability to problem-solve to meet operational targets
  • Can demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality
