Macgregor Black are partnering with an innovative growing food manufacturer on the search for a Category Manager. This is a permanent, hybrid role based in North Yorkshire.
Key responsibilities
- Manage relationships with key buying and category contacts.
- Assist in developing a category, innovation, and brand cycle aligned with customer planning processes to drive long-term category growth.
- Merge shopper insights, market data, and retailer information for a comprehensive understanding and effective presentation of market and consumer dynamics.
- Analyse category outcomes and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure delivery of agreed reporting schedules to the retailer, including range review recommendations, range reviews, and NPD performance tracking, aligning with retailer planning horizons.
What are we looking for?
- Good communicator, trustworthy, friendly & professional with Commercial awareness
- Experienced of working in a commercial / category environment within Branded and Own label.
- Preferred experience with various data delivery platforms (Kantar, IRI, Nielsen) and to be self-sufficient for most day-to-day data mining & sourcing requirements.
- Organisational skills & time management
- Strong sense of team working, believes in winning as a team and creating a culture of best practice.
- Flexible in the approach to workload.
Benefits
- Salary circa £45k + bonus and benefits.
- 25 days holidays + bank holidays
